IGI Consolidating and Virtualizing State of Mississippi Executive Agencies

IGI provides comprehensive virtualization services to the State of Mississippi and is presently conducting a consolidation and virtualization project to move agencies and institutions from their physical environments to a new modern datacenter where servers will be centralized, consolidated, and virtualized on vSphere 4.1.

The configuration represents a Cloud environment so IGI conducted a Virtualization Assessment to align agency business with the consolidated environment and created a Statewide architecture. IGI then developed a design for each agency and is presently in the Migration phase.

Additional services include testing, backup, storage, and training. IGI is also developing a common backup and restore strategy and a common approach to operations and management of the agency Virtual Machines (VMs).
