Microsoft and Infinite Group Enter Into Master Services Agreement
Pittsford, NY, July 20, 2009
Pittsford, NY, July
20, 2009 - Infinite Group, Inc. (IMCI.OB) today announced that it
has entered into a nationwide Master Services Agreement (MSA) with
Microsoft Corporation (NASDAQ: MSFT). Under the agreement, Infinite
Group, Inc. (IGI) can engage Microsoft services on a formal
Prime/Subcontractor basis in support of client projects. The MSA
provides an agreed-upon structure that enables the parties to work
together quickly through a Statement of Service and engage on
time-critical projects more efficiently.
As a Microsoft Gold Certified Partner, IGI is working directly with
Microsoft Sales and Services Engineers to pursue business
development opportunities at the State Government level in the
Southeastern US. While IGI will offer a range of Microsoft
solutions, the initial focus of the MSA will be on messaging and
collaboration initiatives. State governments have a compelling need
for unified communication and collaboration across agencies, and the
combination of IGI and Microsoft will readily provide integrated and
adaptable business solutions on virtual machines running Windows
2008 R2 Active Directory, Exchange 2007, and Microsoft Office
SharePoint Server. Overall manageability is also simplified by using
IGI System Center experts for new “zero touch” deployments,
operational efficiency, and data protection management.
“Our relationship with Microsoft continues to grow and create new
and exciting opportunities,” said Rodney Moore, Microsoft Practice
Director for Infinite Group. “With the range of enhanced Microsoft
offerings available under the Master Services Agreement, IGI has
extended our reach. Through packaged and professional service
offerings, IGI is now positioned with Microsoft for delivery of
leading-edge products such as Windows 7, System Center Configuration
Manager, Operations Manager Virtual Machine Manager, Data Protection
Manager, SharePoint, and Windows 2008 R2 for Enterprise Software
Assurance Customers. Ultimately, IGI and Microsoft will help clients
put together IT game plans and implementations that deliver
meaningful cost savings.”
The demand on state government IT operations is greater than ever.
Computing environments must be improved, even as budgets shrink, by
building more efficient datacenters and gaining efficiency through
virtualization and infrastructure optimization. Careful attention
must also be paid to IT security. IGI’s Microsoft Gold Certified
competencies in the areas of Advanced Infrastructure Solutions and
Unified Communications will help meet these needs and enable IT
professionals to accomplish more with shrinking resources. IGI’s
proprietary market research suggests that Information Technology
Modernization initiatives that leverage Microsoft technology are a
high priority for state IT departments. The Master Services
Agreement with Microsoft is a valuable step for IGI, enabling
delivery of efficient, fast, and robust solutions.
“IGI and Microsoft solutions can help balance computing efficiency
and cost,” said Jim Frost, IGI’s Chief Technology Officer. “The
latest Microsoft technologies enable us to integrate the business
processes of a state agency while addressing IT modernization
objectives, and delivering overall operational benefits.”
